Welcome to Black Bear Plantation!

 

We’re a multi-generational family living in the foothills of East Tennessee, where we’ve built not just homes—but a haven. What started as a dream to raise our eight adopted children close to nature has grown into something much bigger.

 

Our property includes three family homes: one for us and our children, one for our parents, and one for a widowed mother—each built with love, intention, and deep respect for the land we share.

 

The property is a certified wildlife habitat, and we take great pride in preserving and honoring the nature around us.

 

Nestled in a tranquil rural setting with close proximity to several large cities, Black Bear Plantation offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our campground provides a serene environment to rejuvenate your soul and connect with nature.

 

Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or looking for exciting outdoor activities, Black Bear Plantation has something for everyone.

The campground began when our oldest son wanted to live independently on the property while saving for his first home. After he moved on, the campsites sat empty—until we opened them up to others.

Now, we welcome guests who value quiet beauty, a family atmosphere, and meaningful stays.

We offer overnight, weekly, monthly, and long-term camping, along with discounts for veterans and seniors. Whether you’re just passing through or planning an extended stay, we invite you to experience the heart and hospitality of Black Bear Plantation.
